We have space for your teens at Colonial youth.

The teenage years can be tough for our kids. Through our Student Ministries, we create environments where teens can make life-long friendships, live out the gospel, and come to learn and embrace a biblical worldview. This is how we make students strong.

Greg Ealey

South KC Campus Pastor

Greg aspired to be a successful accountant which led him to get a degree in Accounting, months after graduation he realized God was calling him to count souls not beans. He holds a Master of Theology degree from Dallas Theological Seminary and a Doctor of Ministry degree from Western Baptist Bible College. He also has over 20 years of ministry experience and has been at Colonial since 2017.

Greg is a Mexican food connoisseur, and likes his salsa so hot it makes him uncomfortable. If there is an off-day or simply a few minutes in between meetings, don’t be surprised to see him standing by a lake with a fishing pole in the water.

Mark Potter

South KC Associate Pastor

Mark graduated from Kansas State University with a bachelor’s degree in 2006 and he went on to complete a Master’s of Divinity along with a Certificate in Collaborative Urban Ministry and Community Development from Nazarene Theological Seminary in Kansas City. He also completed coursework at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary before becoming ordained and installed as an Assistant Pastor of Community Transformation at Colonial in January of 2018.

Mark grew up attending Colonial and he met his wife, Emily, in the youth group. Mark and Emily were married here in December of 2005 and they now have four sons, which has led to plenty of sports, wrestling and broken lamps.

Torie Smith

South KC Connections Director

Connections is more than just being welcomed on a Sunday morning. It’s about integration, and being seen and known throughout the week. As believers, we are called to something deeper than just a weekend experience; we are invited to participate in the work of God with the family of God, and that happens in spaces of Community and Connection. She became a believer in Jesus the summer after my senior year of high school. Right now, the most important parts of her God story are peace and transformation.

Torie holds a Bachelor’s degree from Grand Canyon University in Biblical Studies, a Bachelor’s degree from Ozark Christian College in Christian Ministry, and is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Spiritual Formation from Ozark Christian College Graduate Studies. She has two cats, Fionn (pronounced Fin) and Norah and is also a huge fan of St. Joan of Arc, and the Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis.

Alex Guilick

South KC Student’s Director

"We cared so much for you that we were pleased to share with you not only the gospel of God but also our own lives, because you had become dear to us." 1 Thessalonians 2:8 perfectly captures the mentorship of Godly teachers and coaches who helped shape my life when I was in high school at Shawnee Mission East and college at William Jewell College. I would not be where I am today without their guidance and intentional care & they are my "why" for pouring into the next generation of believers. When not pursuing students, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Dalton, creating calligraphed pieces for local brides and businesses, exploring antique shops and thrift stores, grabbing brunch or coffee with friends, and coaching the next generation of girl goalkeepers.
