The Couple CheckupWhen was the last time you checked in our your marriage? We all go through seasons in our marriage and it can be helpful every now and then to do a little check up. This June Colonial’s Marriage ministry is offering you a chance to do a checkup from the comfort of your own home! The Couple Checkup is an online assessment tool designed to identify the unique relationship strengths and growth areas of married couples. Research has shown going through this assessment process improves relationships by stimulating honest dialogue, increasing understanding, and empowering couples. And from June 1 through June 21 this assessment is FREE to anyone who registers for it. BUT you have to take it before June 1. Marriage Ministry
Strong marriages endure.We believe that marriage is a sacred covenant between a husband and a wife in which they pledge themselves to one another in the presence of God. Within the marriage ministry at Colonial Presbyterian church, all programs, curriculums and leaders will support these established principles:
- Submission to Christ is the goal. Oneness in marriage will be the result of two lives fully submitted to Christ
- God must be the center of all marriages.
- All marriages can be improved.
- No marriage is beyond redemption.
- We will maintain a balance of truth and grace.
- In all marriages, both partners are sinners and sufferers. And as such, we receive God’s forgiveness and are called to forgive each other. We recognize that forgiveness is a process.

Weddings
Colonial is a beautiful environment for a wedding and we would be delighted to be a part of one of the most joyous occasions of your lives! Our Wedding Ministry is here to assist you in planning your wedding. Along with one of our officiating pastors, you will be provided with the services of a wedding coordinator, sound technician, and premarital marriage mentorship. We are also happy to mentor couples who are getting married at another venue.

Premarital Marriage Mentorship
If you are preparing for marriage, we can help you build a strong foundation. After taking an online inventory, couples are paired with a mentor couple who will help them process through their strengths and their growth areas as a couple. Topics like communication, conflict resolution, financial management, marriage expectations, couple and family maps, and more are talked through. Healthy Marriages
We encourage ALL couples at Colonial to go through re|engage at least once. Whether you rate your marriage a 2 or a 10 or you have been married for 2, 10 or more years, re|engage is a safe place to reconnect. Re|engage brings couples together to learn about God’s design for marriage and apply biblical principles for building a healthy relationship.
Marriage Mentorship
Marriage Mentorship is also offered for those who are married. Whether a few years or several decades, we have mentor couples who can work with you one on one to strengthen your marriage. For more information contact Pastor Tami Lundgren at 815-501-3939.
