Mark Potter

Overland Park Campus pastor

Mark graduated from Kansas State University with a bachelor’s degree in 2006 and he went on to complete a Master’s of Divinity along with a Certificate in Collaborative Urban Ministry and Community Development from Nazarene Theological Seminary in Kansas City. He also completed coursework at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary before becoming ordained and installed as an Assistant Pastor of Community Transformation at Colonial in January of 2018.

Mark grew up attending Colonial and he met his wife, Emily, in the youth group. Mark and Emily were married here in December of 2005 and they now have four sons, which has led to plenty of sports, wrestling and broken lamps.

Tami Lundgren

FAMILY Pastor

Tami and her family started attending Colonial Presbyterian Church in 2008. In 2012 Tami was called to seminary; and in May of 2017 she completed her MDiv and came on staff as an assistant pastor. She currently serves as an associate pastor at the Overland Park Campus and is in charge of the Groups, Marriage, and Women's Ministries. Tami is married to the love of her life, Erik, and they have three children who, against her wishes, are quickly making their way to adulthood. Her "baby" is a 120 pound Newdle (Newfoundland/Poodle Mix) named Murphy who promises to never leave home!

Carrie Leary

Overland Park Connections Director

Carrie Leary is the new OP Connections Director. Carrie and her husband Michael have been married for 10 years, are members of Colonial, and they have four “tween” daughters brought to them through the redemption of adoption. They recently moved from Spring Hill into Olathe and her favorite thing about our new home is that it's exactly halfway between Colonial and Michael's office at Garmin. Carrie is eager to begin her new role and you can meet her on Sundays before and after worship at OP.

Glenn Menke

Overland Park Kids Ministry Director

Glenn came to Colonial in 2002, just three Sundays prior to the opening of the Overland Park Campus. He had served at First Presbyterian Church of Olathe for 9.5 years prior to that. He is passionate about loving, leading, encouraging, and serving others in the name of Jesus. Glenn and his wife Michele are both graduates of Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, Missouri. Following graduation at SBU, Glenn attended Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas prior to accepting his first call to Baptist Children’s Homes of North Carolina and Woodland Baptist Church. Glenn & Michele have two adult children, Michaela and Grant.

Michael Otto

Overland Park Student Ministry Director

Michael was called by God in 2011 to help students and young people understand who they are, their identity in Christ, and living that out in faith, and he does that while being on staff at Colonial!

He came to Christ at age 14 at a summer camp, asking questions about life and faith and also who Jesus was, and why He mattered. He's still asking questions, getting some answers, but learning to trust Him more with doubts and follow in obedience.

Michael is married to Krista and their daughters are Elliana age 5 and Avery age 2. You might see him at KC coffee shops, playing disc golf, or occasionally playing guitar. He attends Fuller Theological Seminary working toward a Masters of Global Leadership, focused on how to grow personal leadership, raising up leaders, and spreading the gospel in several contexts.

Got questions? We have answers!

We want you and those attending with you to feel welcomed! First, be sure to park in a clearly marked Visitor Parking space-it's a shorter walk to the door and this lets our parking lot hosts and greeters know that you are “new here.” They will direct you to the Welcome Desk to ask any questions and then help you find seats the Sanctuary for worship.

The 8:00 AM worship service is shorter and more intimate and meets in the Lighthouse. The 9:00 and 10:45 AM services typically last 75 minutes. We begin with corporate worship (a blend of contemporary music and classic hymns) followed by an extended time of prayer and then a biblical, expository message. Our Pastor guarantees you will LEARN, LAUGH, and LOVE Jesus more as a result of his message every Sunday!

One of our Core Values is Student Strong, so we seek to be a place that encourages students of all ages to lead, influence and cultivate a personal relationship with Jesus. We have programming for birth through 12th grade where caring adults work to build relationships with students to point them toward Christ. Students meet at the Lighthouse Student Center, 10:45-11:30 AM and begin the morning with messages designed to encourage their faith and support their growth as leaders. Infants, toddlers and preschoolers meet on the main floor and Kindergarten thru 5th grade meet on the second floor in the main building with programming offered at 9:00 and 10:45 AM.
